ARTIST STATEMENT
My name is Lauren Hansen, I'm 21 years old, and have been the owner of HART. since 2014.
I believe fashion is beyond just clothing, it's in the small things that adorn our bodies every day. It's what makes us who we are.
Fashion is a way to show others how we feel on the inside, and truly express who we are as individuals . A good outfit says a thousand words about you before even putting it on.
I also believe in the art of hand construction and embellishment. It is a dying art form that I want to bring back to my generation. I want people to respect the quality in constructing a garment rather than a shirt from a fast fashion brand sold to them for $2.
Wearing fashion is wearing someone's work of art on your body. You become a living canvas every day, even if you are unaware of it. What does your soul tell you to look like today?
